Our Fees and Funding.

The government funding offers 15 hours or 30 hours per week dependent upon your eligibility for the funding. Government eligibility criteria is based on your income, your child’s age and your immigration status (right to remain in the UK and no restriction upon access to public funds)

The funding categories and their eligibility are as follows:

  • 30-hour entitlement for children of eligible working families from age of 9 months to age 2.

  • 15-hour entitlement for Early Learning 2-year-olds (families receiving additional support).

  • 30-hour entitlement for children of eligible working families of 2-year-olds.

  • 15-hour entitlement for families of 3- and 4-year-olds (universal entitlement).

  • 30-hour entitlement for children of eligible working families of 3- and 4-year-olds.

Please go to the website to check your eligibility here.

We offer 51 weeks of stretched funding to reflect our opening hours across the year. This means that you get the same funding weekly over each term and your invoice will remain a similar price depending on the term length.

Please see our fee table below.

It is compulsory to complete a parent declaration form each term to comply with government criteria. If eligibility has been confirmed, you will be given a 11 digit code which must be passed on to us in order for the nursery to confirm your code in advance of the next funding period. Funding changes 3 times in the year, you MUST reconfirm your eligibility every term to ensure you can still claim the funding. Funding Terms are Spring Jan – March, Summer April – August and Autumn September –December.

Your child MUST be the age of the funding bracket before the start of the term. For example, if your child turns 9 months by the 31st August, you will be eligible for the 9-23 month funding in the term starting 1st September. If your child turns 9 months old on 1st September you will be eligible for funding from the following term commencing January 1st.

Using the stretched offer, the funding covers a certain amount of hours per week. You still receive your full entitlement but stretching it across the year reduces the number of funded hours per week. As an example, 15 hours in Summer term 2026 equates to 11.17 hours per week. A minimum of 2 days at Wainscot per week is required to receive this. For 30 hours for the Summer 2026 term, the funding covers 22.34 hours per week.

If you require nursery care over and above the funded hours then additional fees apply. This will show on your invoice as ‘non-funded hours’. For these non-funded hours we ask parents to make a voluntary contribution towards consumables to help us cover our costs of providing suncream, nappies, wipes.

To make things easy our inclusive package for those families not receiving funding is a day rate of £115 + £3.75 for consumables per day which covers meals and nappies, yoga (for relevant age) and any other extracurricular activities.

If you do receive funding for your child, the invoice will display the amount of funded hours, stretched over the month. Funded hours remain free at the point of delivery. Non-funded hours, plus consumables are detailed separately. There are no consumables charged as part of the funded hours.

The invoices will break down the cost of the inclusive package as follows:

Please see our fee table below for a breakdown which outlines the funded hours per day and the remainder of the care which is private funded hours with the inclusion of consumables.
